Director, Paul Sheppard comes from a successful real estate background and has 20 years combined experience in Real Estate Sales, Sales Management and Property Management. Paul is also a qualified Mortgage Broker.

Co-Director, Steve Hammond has had over 15 years experience in the Property Management field, and has previously written courses for and lectured in Property Management for the Real Estate Institute of South Australia and TAFE SA and has established successful Property Management portfolios for a number of South Australian Real Estate Agents.

After significant exposure to conventional real estate sales and management methodology, Paul and Steve believed that a need existed to assist Property Investors to manage their rental properties by providing a consulting facility that allowed the investor to choose the precise level of assistance that they required.

They felt that there was a significant number of rental property Owners who would benefit from a tailor made support plan that enhanced their desire to, in the main, self manage their properties whilst drawing on the expertise of professionals to provide aspects of a property management service at a fraction of the costs charged by conventional real estate agents.

Rentals Assist start as a subsidiary of Loan Advisory Service Pty Ltd which commenced trading in December 2003 under the leadership of founding director Paul Sheppard.

Our goal is to create a Client service that is totally focused on providing quality Property Investor service products, and that our consultants and support staff personally reflect and believe in supplying a true quality service ethos.

Until now investment property Owners have been forced to choose between a fulltime real estate agency based property manager at a cost of approxiamately 13 to 15 percent of their annual rental income OR to invest significant amounts of time to administer all tenancy issues revolving around their property. Regrettably many investors have not enjoyed the expertise to do so and as a result have cost themselves considerable revenue through management mistakes or lack of sound advice.

The Company philosophy recognizes that many Property Investors have a strong focus towards the self management of their property portfolios yet still require expert assistance regarding certain aspects of tenancy management. This may be as a result of time constraints or the desire to hand over critical property rental functions to a Professional portfolio manager.

The most critical needs of a Property Investor are to minimize and maintain control of all ongoing costs AND to reduce the time spent managing their assets so as to maximize the return on their property investment.

Rentals Assist has been created to offer a high level of professional support and client service so as to be able to assist all categories of property investors to achieve their goals without the higher costs associated with using a real estate agency.
